BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Nostalgia Funny Car at the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series, California Hot Rod Reunion XXI:

7380 Rick Rogers 700 Steven Densham
E2 0.095 5.785 233.52 ****WINNER**** 0.109 5.759 244.92
 Prior rounds:
E1 (J Arend ) 0.111 7.187 125.51 (J Smith ) 0.116 5.803 242.63
 Qualified: #15 5.940 234.66 #7 5.834 244.25
11:51 a.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 71 degrees, relative humidity 44 percent, barometer 29.24 inches, adjusted altitude 1,853 feet.

Both cars had easy first round wins.

Densham is late and Roger's takes advantage of that to pull further ahead through the 330 lights. Densham power comes back after that and he just gets by after the 1000 foot fights for the win.

Steven Densham's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.019), 330 ft(-0.034), 660ft(-0.024), 1,000ft(-0.009). MOV: 0.0124 seconds (approximately 4 feet).

Rick Rogers' incremental times: 60ft-0.972 sec., 330ft-2.525, 660ft-3.773/197.02 mph, 1,000ft-4.852.
Steven Densham's incremental times: 60ft-0.977 sec., 330ft-2.545, 660ft-3.783/199.11 mph, 1,000ft-4.847.

394 Mike Lewis 758 Rian Konno
E2 ****WINNER**** 0.165 5.777 240.68 0.134 6.125 237.92
 Prior rounds:
E1 (W Martin ) 0.195 5.805 242.89 (G Bateman ) 0.119 6.043 236.17
 Qualified: #4 5.820 243.15 #12 5.885 247.16
Konno gets a small lead at the green, but Lewis powers on by before sixty feet and pulls ahead all the way to the finish line for the win and a nice improvement on his prior ET's.

Bateman slows even more than his first round numbers.

Mike Lewis' incremental times: 60ft-0.989 sec., 330ft-2.548, 660ft-3.786/198.99 mph, 1,000ft-4.855.
Rian Konno's incremental times: 60ft-1.090 sec., 330ft-2.777, 660ft-4.068/191.35 mph, 1,000ft-5.182.

3111 Chad Head 482 Ronny Young
E2 ****WINNER**** 0.112 5.685 251.16 0.204 5.795 224.73
 Prior rounds:
E1 (J Day ) 0.085 5.731 250.55 (D Worsham ) 0.165 5.761 254.76
 Qualified: #1 5.760 250.37 #9 5.850 249.53
Head is away first by a bunch and runs strong and clean to the finish line for another low ET of the event. It was expensive, with a lot of smoke from the engine after the finish line. No oil on the track!

Young is late and his better performance isn't enough to catch Head. Their margins stay close to the same going down the track.

Chad Head's incremental margins: 60ft(0.150), 330 ft(0.159), 660ft(0.158), 1,000ft(0.152). MOV: 0.2024 seconds (approximately 67 feet).

Chad Head's incremental times: 60ft-0.978 sec., 330ft-2.549, 660ft-3.758/204.35 mph, 1,000ft-4.797.
Ronny Young's incremental times: 60ft-1.036 sec., 330ft-2.616, 660ft-3.824/204.35 mph, 1,000ft-4.857.

6800 Gary Eickman 732 Kris Krabill
E2 ****WINNER**** 0.119 5.815 245.81 0.057 5.902 249.12
 Prior rounds:
E1 (D Horan Jr ) 0.146 5.873 241.80 (J Crawford ) 0.048 5.909 248.93
 Qualified: #14 5.939 242.36 #11 5.864 249.21
Krabill's starting line advantage is gone before the 60 foot lights and Gary Eickman stays out in front after that for the close win.

Gary Eickman's incremental margins: 60ft(0.001), 330 ft(0.069), 660ft(0.059), 1,000ft(0.038). MOV: 0.0253 seconds (approximately 9 feet).

Gary Eickman's incremental times: 60ft-1.012 sec., 330ft-2.575, 660ft-3.825/196.76 mph, 1,000ft-4.902.
Kris Krabill's incremental times: 60ft-1.075 sec., 330ft-2.706, 660ft-3.946/200.02 mph, 1,000ft-5.002.

12:05 p.m. Round three: Head has lane choice over Lewis and Densham over Eickman.
