Barklage gets out of the groove and drifts toward the center-line, but hangs on and takes the win.

Payne rattles the tires off the line, makes a hard move toward the center-line, then aborts the run. Cannon goes right down the groove and will have lane choice over Barklage in round three.

King gets ready to stage, hits the throttle, the car then lurches forward through the staging beams, giving Jenkins the freebie.

Ashley dodges a bullet here, Rowe gets out of shape early, first heading toward the wheel, then back toward the center-line. Ashley loses traction around half-track and has to back off the throttle. Jenkins will have lane choice over Ashley in round three.
