ENNIS, Texas - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 41st annual Texas NHRA FallNationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Jackie Fricke Runs 5.168/274.16, Now #2; Best prior run: 5.249/273.79, Was #5
Right Lane: Megan Smith Runs 5.226/280.36, Now #3; Best prior run: 5.272/278.12, Was #7

Weather conditions: air temperature 67 degrees, relative humidity 44 percent, barometer 30.36 inches, adjusted altitude 919 feet.

Fricke launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number two spot. Jackie Fricke's incremental times: 60ft-0.936 sec., 330ft-2.363, 660ft-3.429/233.20 mph, 1,000ft-4.357.

Smith is straight down the groove with her quickest pass of the weekend to go to the number three spot. Megan Smith's incremental times: 60ft-0.955 sec., 330ft-2.415, 660ft-3.505/230.27 mph, 1,000ft-4.430.

Noonan kept it hooked up and is straight down the groove to go to the number three spot. Jamie Noonan's incremental times: 60ft-0.924 sec., 330ft-2.379, 660ft-3.471/229.45 mph, 1,000ft-4.401.

Dreher with a clean pass, but will not improve.

Johnson kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to make her quickest pass of the weekend. she will stay in the number five spot.

Severance broke on the burnout.

Bradford with his quickest pass of the weekend, but will not get in the show.

Cowie is up in smoke and pedaled it a couple times, but couldn't get it to hook up.

Spiegel launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number four spot. Nick Spiegel's incremental times: 60ft-0.906 sec., 330ft-2.327, 660ft-3.442/222.35 mph, 1,000ft-4.398.

Tindle with his quickest pass of the weekend, but will not get in the show.

Kalitta rattled the tires right at the hit and clicked it off

Blinzler kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to move into the top half of the show.

Sampey with another clean pass, but will not improve.

Right Lane: Chris Demke Runs 5.214/277.90, Now #5; Best prior run: 5.247/278.16, Was #8

Coughlin was on a good pass early, but it appeared to be eating itself up on the top end.

Demke kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to make his quickest pass of the weekend. He goes to the number five spot.
