MADISON, Ill. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, ninth annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA Midwest Nationals presented by Pennzoil:

Bode got out of the groove and close to the wall...apparently he used up a bullet as the Safety Safari is calling oil. Bob Bode was charged with an oildown, #2 for the season. That will cost 10 points.
