ENNIS, Texas - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 31st annual AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals:

Johnson is number two in points, just 24 points behind Capps. Worsham is fifth, 125 points behind Capps.

Johnson gets out of the gate with a small advantage but Worsham was ahead by the time they reached the sixty foot mark. Johnson gets about 400 feet out, strikes the tires and has to give up on the run.

Del Worsham's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(0.019), 330 ft(0.037), 660ft(0.067). MOV: 0.1258 seconds (approximately 54 feet).

Capps is 30 - 18 against Beckman in prior events.

Capps is leading the points and can put some distance between himself and Johnson who just lost in the last pair. Beckman is third in the points and needs to take out Capps here.

Capps gets out of the gate first and starts to pull away. He starts to slow a little past the 660 foot mark and Beckman starts to make up ground. Capps blows the engine a little before the finish line but is able to coast across the line ahead of Beckman. This is Capps 36th holeshot win of his career, third this year.

Worsham will have lane choice over Capps in the next round.

A good side-by-side, Hight gets out of the gate first then slowly pulls away. DeJoria was falling back, drifted a little to the left, and could never make up any ground on Hight.

Force hits the throttle and goes red giving the win to Hagan. Hagan goes right down the groove with a good pass and takes the win.
