MOHNTON, Pa. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 20th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals:

1:07 p.m. - Weather conditions: air temperature 65 degrees, relative humidity 56 percent, barometer 29.44 inches, adjusted altitude 1,157 feet, track temperature 86 degrees.

What a race! Worsham launched and smoked the tires right away. He pedaled it and tried to get back into the race. As soon as he pedaled and got back into the run, Capps smoked his tires and pedaled. When Capps got back on the throttle, the rear end of his car got loose and he had to pedal it again. By that time, Worsham was far enough ahead to get the win.

Pedregon got this win on a hole shot. Pedregon was pulling ahead at 330 feet but then Medlin started to close the gap and get closer. But he ran out of race track and Pedregon's better start was enough to let him hang on for the win.

Force got off the starting line and kept pulling away to take the win. Wilkerson hung close and both drivers made good laps, but Force had more speed and got both the win and lane choice over Worsham in round three.

Densham launched and smoked the tires for 100 feet, then clicked it off. Scelzi had a good run down the quarter mile for the win. he gave up lane choice to Pedregon in the next round.
