Schumacher is 33-29 in career finals, he has been to six finals this year winning three. This
is Todds fourth final and he has won the first three and two of those were against Schumacher.
Todd with the starting line advantage, but Schumacher has the difference made up by 150 feet. Todd
got real loose on the top end and real close to the centerline, actually crossing the centerline
when he was past the finish line. Schumacher had said they would go for the record here. They
didn't get record, but got the win with a great pass as the engine expired in the lights.
Schumacher will go into Pomona trailing Kalitta by 45 points.
