Kalitta holds a five to three advantage over Bernstein in head to head matchup. Kalitta is
out the gate first, but then starts to blister the hides around 300 feet, and then Bernstein
loses traction. Kalitta pedals it but is back up in smoke and finally throws the blower belt
off. Bernstein attempted to drive through his tire and just smoked the big Goodyears through
the 1320.

This is the rubber match between Cowin and Grubnic with each of them having two wins against
each other.Cowin is out of the gate first, but Grubnic had him chased down by 100 feet.
Grubnic with a great looking pass, but will give up lane choice in the semifinal against
Lucas.
Cowin's engine was eating itself up from half track on and apparently there is oil on
the track as the Safety Safari rolls. That will cost Cowin another 15 points and
$3000.

Schumacher holds a slight advantage over Cory Mac at 11 to 10 in head to head matchup.
Schumacher was out of the gate first and never looked back with another great pass and low E.T.
of the session and lane choice in the semifinal against Bernstein. Cory Mac started to strike
the tires around 330 feet and pedaled it, but couldn't get it to hook up.
