Bob Gilbertson

Bob Gilbertson had a storybook day in Baytown Sunday. After Gilbertson
barely made the field on the bump with a 5.126, 9 time Winston champ John
Force smoked the tires against him in the first round, both the WWF guys
redlighted against him in the 2nd and final rounds and Ron Capps was DQ'd
for crossing the center line in the semis. Gilbertson didn't exactly skate
to victory lane however as he ran steady 5.0's every round except for the
semis when the car tried to wheelstand after he pedaled it.
