Darrell Alderman
Mon, 17 Apr 2000, 03:38 PM
Darrell Alderman had one of Mopar's better outings lately as he got by Troy
Coughlin and Rickie Smith before falling to points leader Jeg Coughlin in
the semis. Along the way, he engaged in one of the longest staging battles
in recent memory with Rickie Smith in the 2nd round. With the crowd roaring
(and John Nobile encouraging the crowd), the two sat at idle for somewhere
between one and two minutes before Rickie finally rolled in and Darrell
followed close behind. It worked for Darrell as he got the holeshot and put
Rickie away 6.968 to 6.932.
