Myers in the A/Fuel car vs. Hudson in the B/AD. It's no contest as Myers is first off the

73 Chris Demke 784 Jack Beckman
E1 0.387 6.872 201.58 ****WINNER**** 0.129 6.471 160.12
Qualified: #6 5.408 259.81 #17 6.760 195.59
Beckman is in the show due to Niver's problem this morning. Niver is ok but the car is hurt
badly. Something going on in Demke's car as it doesn't want to idle or run. He's going to stage
but something's wrong. I was right. The car made no move off the lane and Beckman was 10 cars
open at the hit. As it was Demke was closing on Beckman at the big end.

611 Garrett Bateman 733 Gary Anderson
E1 ****WINNER**** 0.070 5.416 256.21 0.081 5.623 253.09

7438 Morgan Lucas 7402 Randy Eakins
E1 ****WINNER**** 0.029 5.432 261.57 0.053 5.760 235.15
Qualified: #2 5.345 269.24 #15 5.643 239.02
Lucas gets the win and lane choice over Myers in the next round. Eakins was actually with
Lucas until just before half track. That was when the big white car made a move and motored
away.

51 Alan Bradshaw 76 Tony Meredyk
E1 ****WINNER**** 0.038 5.711 234.49 0.063 9.084 103.09
Qualified: #1 5.236 263.67 #16 6.104 212.33
This is the final pair of the session and the winner will get Shields in round two. The
winner has to better 5.448 to get lane choice. Bradshaw slows but Meredyk can't take advantage
as he was busy blowing up a motor in the right lane. Tough break for Meredyk and date for
Bradshaw in the second round.
