David Hope is a caring man. In April of this year, the Pro Stock Motorcycle rider formed an
alliance with the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks (BCFO) and he knew the beautiful Vroom
Racing Buell was a great way to spread the word concerning the good works of the foundation. But,
he also knew he wanted to do more.
So, Hope took that caring to help the BCFO a step further. He created a special promotion with the
help of his family owned and operated auto dealership, the Nevada Auto Mall located in Nevada, Mo.,
where he is Service Manager. During the month of August, the dealership will donate $5.00 of every
oil change performed to the BCFO. In conjunction, they will be offering custom breast cancer
awareness wristbands available for sale at the dealership, with the profits of sales also going to
the foundation.
"I have always been encouraged to be my best in everything I do," explained Hope, "and that is why
I feel so responsible to support the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks and try to make a
difference in people's lives. I was raised in a large family with great respect for my mother and
sisters and I want the very best for them, as I believe every person should want for their family.
And when looking for a cause to support, the BCFO seemed to be the perfect answer."
The Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks provides local resources for those affected by breast
cancer. They promote breast cancer awareness and provide resources, education and support for
individuals and their families in the southwest Missouri area who are and have been affected by
breast cancer and are concerned with women's health issues. They are the only local organization
that provides financial assistance for individuals with breast cancer and their families.
Established in 1999 in memory of Kristen O'Brien-Hardy who lost her life to breast cancer at the
age of 31, the BCFO's emphasis is on education. Because Kristen was first told she was too young
to have breast cancer, the foundation saw an apparent need to educate those under 40 as well as
over 40. Approximately 17% of all women with breast cancer are under the age of 40. From this
arose the BCFO's slogan, "Stop the Silence, Spread the Word, Breast Cancer Affects All Ages." For

Nevada Auto Mall is showing its strength in character and belief in their community by offering
such a significant financial commitment to the BCFO with this fundraiser. Celebrating their 15th
anniversary, they are dedicated to providing the best in sales, parts and service to the community.
They have franchises in Ford, Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep.
"We're just real people trying to do real things at a time when the world needs something positive
to surround itself with," emphasizes Hope. "We are here to make an everlasting impression on lives
and have been proving that for the past 15 years of business. In these current economic times,
folks should be proud to support their local businesses. So, I hope we receive overwhelming
support from the community and together we make this fundraiser a huge success."
