Joshua Hernandez and the US National Guard Red Team heads
to the Gateway International Raceway in Madison Illinois for the
ADRL Hardee's Gateway Drags II
Josh Hernandez, after making a number of US National Guard
appearances midweek, is getting his game face on for this weekend
shootout at Gateway. Hernandez admits that he was bummed by the
DNQ at Richmond a few weeks ago. Hernadez stated, " It happens,
but the memory fades quickly, and you get ready & pumped for the
race coming up; you couldn't be in this game if it was otherwise".
Jim Oddy, Crew Chief & Tuner for the National Guard Red Team was
quick to agree, " We ran a 3.84 in practice in Richmond , so we went in
one direction and the track went in another. I just hope we can get all
three qualifying sessions in this week." Assistant tuner Dave Oddy , stated,
Look, the Red Team has an outstanding car and driver, its on us to make
it happen, and it will happen!!" Dave went on the say, " even though we
dropped one slot in the point standing, the Team is still good for the finals
in Dallas and certainly not out of contention for the points lead. We have
three more races to go heading into Dallas and if things go right, we'll be
there.
Troy Critchley, the Aussie that supplys the awesome power for Team Red
remarked, " No worries, we are going back to some prior setting when we
tracking in the high 70's, It'll all be good at the end of the day"
