Competition Eliminator Champion Santo Volpe

Santo Volpe, NHRA Northeast Division champion in Competition Eliminator, explained his
mid-season decision to pursue the national title during the 2003 NHRA Northeast Division awards
banquet on Saturday, January 10. Volpe won the division championship and finished second in the
national standings, just 10 points behind Dean Carter.
