Vandergriff is 5 - 2 against Todd in prior events.
Vandergriff is currently second in the points, Todd in third. Hagan, the points leader, went out last round so this is an important round for both of these drivers.
Vandergriff gets the advantage off of the line and starts pulling away. todd hits the throttle, gets about 200 feet out and strikes the tires. he pedals, can't recover, then gives up on the run. Vandergriff goes on through with a clean pass to take the win.

Vandergriff is going to his eighth final round, his seventh this year.

Prock is 9 - 2 against Capps in prior events.
A coin flip off of the line, they both rattle the tires early and have to pedal. Prock loses a cylinder after pedaling, Capps makes it a little further before losing a cylinder and goes on for the win.
Ron Capps' incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.008), 330 ft(0.179), 660ft(0.237). MOV: 0.2391 seconds (approximately 100 feet).

Vandergriff will have lane choice over Capps in the final round.
