ENNIS, Texas - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 41st annual Texas NHRA FallNationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Lee Callaway Runs 3.863/308.77, Now #17; Best prior run: 4.026/225.28, Was #19

Weather conditions: air temperature 66 degrees, relative humidity 45 percent, barometer 30.41 inches, adjusted altitude 378 feet, track temperature 108 degrees.

Callaway with a good pass early and then the car started to labor on the top end. He makes his quickest pass of the weekend. Lee Callaway's incremental times: 60ft-0.874 sec., 330ft-2.189, 660ft-3.089/278.69 mph.

Left Lane: Charles Loftin Runs 4.005/277.06, Now #18; Best prior run: 3.926/281.51, Was #18
Right Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 3.755/336.68, Now #14; Best prior run: 3.809/283.30, Was #15

Loftin with a good clean pass, but will not get in the show.

Schumacher kept it hooked up for his quickest pass of the weekend to move up the ladder a spot.

Right Lane: Spencer Massey Runs 3.773/328.16, Now #15; Best prior run: 3.758/327.80, Was #15

Torrence kept it hooked up and makes his quickest pass of the weekend. He stays in the number 12 spot.

Massey with a good clean pass, straight down the groove. He will not improve,

Left Lane: Shawn Reed Runs 3.754/334.42, Now #11; Best prior run: 3.727/333.78, Was #11
Right Lane: Dan Mercier Runs 4.903/146.20, Now #13; Best prior run: 3.748/329.89, Was #13

Reed is straight down the groove with another good pass, but will not improve.

Mercier starts to haze the tires around half track and clicks it off.

Millican kept it hooked up for another good clean pass, but will not improve. second quick of the session.

Pruett launched hard and hitting on all eight to make the quickest pass of the session. Leah Pruett's incremental times: 60ft-0.846 sec., 330ft-2.136, 660ft-2.996/294.81 mph.

Stewart is straight down the groove and hooked up to make the second quickest pass of the session.

Brown with another good looking pass, straight down the groove.

Right Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 3.682/333.95, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.668/338.80, Was #3

Langdon drove into tire smoke and clicked it off. He holds on to the number one spot for the eighth time this season and 30th of his career.

Kalitta was a good looking pass until on the top end when he pushed out a head gasket. He still make the quickest pass of the session. Doug Kalitta's incremental times: 60ft-0.836 sec., 330ft-2.109, 660ft-2.961/297.99 mph.
