ENNIS, Texas - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 41st annual Texas NHRA FallNationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Hector Arana Jr Runs 6.880/198.00, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.745/192.97, Was #18
Right Lane: Blaine Hale No Time, Now #18; Best prior run: 7.624/176.88, Was #17

5:01 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 66 degrees, relative humidity 45 percent, barometer 30.39 inches, adjusted altitude 816 feet, track temperature 108 degrees.

Arana Jr. goes down the groove with a full pass, his quickest of the weekend, and he gets in the field in the 15th spot, for now.

The tree came down and Hale didn't move, not sure why.

Bostick goes down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend and he gets off of the bump and into the 12th spot. Arana makes a clean pass but he doesn't get in the show.

Chris Bostick's incremental times: 60ft-1.080 sec., 330ft-2.841, 660ft-4.341/162.63 mph, 1,000ft-5.666.

Tonglet makes his quickest pass of the weekend and he moves up a spot to 15th.

Left Lane: John Hall Runs 6.735/201.72, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.816/197.49, Was #13
Right Lane: Marc Ingwersen Runs 6.865/196.13, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.803/198.46, Was #11

A good side-by-side, both down the groove with good runs. Hall makes his quickest pass of the weekend and he moves up to the seventh spot. Ingwersen doesn't improve and drops to the 12th spot as hall goes around him.

John Hall's incremental times: 60ft-1.072 sec., 330ft-2.834, 660ft-4.320/164.52 mph, 1,000ft-5.623.

Right Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 6.757/193.75, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.750/199.17, Was #9

Scali makes a decent run but he doesn't improve. No help for Johnson and he stays in the ninth spot.

Right Lane: Chase Van Sant Runs 6.772/199.96, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.718/201.58, Was #6

Another good side-by-side but no improvement for either rider.

Smith leaves the line, gets about 50 feet out, and the bike just quits.

Right Lane: Gaige Herrera Runs 6.665/202.58, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.651/203.05, Was #1

Gladstone has problems and is out of power early. Herrera makes another good pass but doesn't improve.

This is Herrera's fourth number one this season and the 35th of his career.
