MADISON, Ill. - Results of round 3 eliminations in Top Fuel at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 11th annual NHRA Midwest Nationals:

Weather conditions: air temperature 75 degrees, relative humidity 37 percent, barometer 30.23 inches, adjusted altitude 1,494 feet, track temperature 111 degrees.

This is the first time at this race that the top 4 TF & FC qualifiers advanced to the semi-finals. Steve Torrence has won the last 5 meetings with Doug Kalitta. This is their 1st meeting this year.

Kalitta with a slight starting line advantage, around half track the car was up in smoke. HThe car then pitched the blower belt before the finish line.

Torrence chases Kalitta down around half track and takes the win. Torrence is advancing to his to his fifth final this season and 81st time of his career.

There is a lane switch as they pull up.

Shawn Langdon is 2-1 against Hart this year.

Langdon is 3 - 2 against Hart in prior events.

Langdon with the starting line advantage and the lead until the 1/8 mile mark and Hart drives around him for the win. Hart is advancing to his second final round this season and fourth of his career.
