MOHNTON, Pa. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 32nd annual Dodge NHRA Nationals:

Capps is 33 - 19 against Wilkerson in prior events.

Wilkerson got out to about 330 feet, shook the tires, pedaled it and tried to get back into this run before he shut down. Capps had a good run to take the win.

Beckman is 18 - 10 against Worsham in prior events. Beckman set a track ET record in the first round of eliminations. This time, Beckman got off the line just before Worsham and then went on to set the track ET record and the fifth quickest Funny Car ET ever.

Johnson shook the rear tires, then pedaled at about 330 feet to get the car hooked up again. Smith lost a cylinder coming off the starting line, shook the tires hard and then clicked it off. Johnson will move on to the next round but gave up lane choice to Beckman.

Hagan was quicker out of the gate and pulled farther away on the track to take the win and get lane choice over Capps in round three.
