LAS VEGAS - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Modified at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 15th annual NHRA Toyota Nationals:

Farber is 1 - 0 against Latino in prior events. Latino with the starting line advantage, and the lead until right in the lights when Farber is able to chase him down and take the win. Pete Farber's MOV: 0.0092 seconds (approximately 3 feet).

Janis is 2 - 1 against Rahaim in prior events. Janis with the starting line advantage and then makes a quick move toward the centerline and then when he got it off the centerline he got it over close to the wall before he lifted. Rahaim keeps his Championship hopes alive with the win.

This is the first time Frigo and Patrick Jr. have faced each other in eliminations. Frigo with the starting line advantage and then made a quick move toward the wall, he reeled it in and gets the win. Patrick Jr with problems early and clicked it off.

Smith's championship hopes just got smashed. alBalooshi will have lane choice over Whiteley in the next round.

This is the first time Naiser and Walsh have faced each other in eliminations. Naiser was able to make it back after going into the sand on the final qualifying pass. Naiser with a great light, but Walsh has the lead 200 feet and never trails from there on for the win. Walsh will have lane choice over Farber in the next round.
