LAS VEGAS - Results of round 2 eliminations in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, Second annual ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals:

Qua-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-Rd-Qua-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed
   3 Greg Stanfield 6.926 198.41 Q 6 Gene Wilson 6.940 198.41

Close race here. Wilson had a small lead at the start but it's Stanfield with the better ET.

Qua-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-Rd-Qua-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed
   1 Kurt Johnson 6.921 199.20 Q 8 Allen Johnson 6.948 198.26
   (L Nance ) 0.431 6.945 199.26 E1 (G Marnell ) 0.435 6.976 198.55
                  0.498 6.923 199.64 E2 *****WINNER***** 0.420 6.966 199.08

You just can't do this in Pro Stock. KJ gives up .06 on the start and even though he runs the quickest pass of eliminations, he loses. Tough day in a tough class.

Qua-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-Rd-Qua-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed
   2 Warren Johnson 6.921 199.11 Q 10 Tom Hammonds 6.951 197.86
   (T Lee ) 0.441 6.932 198.82 E1 (V Gaines ) 0.415 6.967 197.65
 *****WINNER***** 0.452 6.938 199.02 E2 0.428 6.968 197.57

Warren gives up .02 on the tree but manages to drive around Hammonds. Big win for WJ.

   4 Ron Krisher 6.936 199.02 Q 5 Jeg Coughlin 6.938 198.70
   (B Allen ) 0.462 6.932 198.96 E1 (S Geoffrion ) 0.440 6.938 198.55
                  0.434 6.952 198.99 E2 *****WINNER***** 0.426 6.948 198.50

As they all are in Pro Stock, another close one. Just about an even start but the new POWERade Champ pulls out a win and a trip to to the semis. Jeg will have lane choice over Allen Johnson and WJ has choice over Greg Stanfield.
