ENNIS, Texas - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Funny Car at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 38th annual Texas NHRA FallNationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Jack Wyatt Runs 4.757/172.14, Now #16; Best prior run: 4.233/261.02, Was #16

5:58 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 72 degrees, relative humidity 38 percent, barometer 30.09 inches, adjusted altitude 1,505 feet, track temperature 88 degrees.

Wyatt gets about 500 feet out and the header flames disappear. He doesn't improve and will race whoever is on top at the end of this session.

Left Lane: Alex Laughlin Runs 3.988/315.10, Now #13; Best prior run: 4.025/315.06, Was #15

Laughlin was drifting to the right all the way through the run, almost crossing the centerline at the end of the run, but he hangs on and improves, running a career best and moving up to the 13th spot in the order.

Left Lane: Paul Lee Runs 3.931/321.75, Now #12; Best prior run: 3.955/318.72, Was #12
Right Lane: Tim Wilkerson Runs 3.879/324.25, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.884/317.80, Was #8

Lee goes down the groove with his best pass of the weekend but he stays in the 12th spot. Wilkerson makes his quickest pass of the weekend and he moves up a spot to seventh.

Paul Lee's incremental times: 60ft-0.865 sec., 330ft-2.240, 660ft-3.173/277.90 mph. Tim Wilkerson's incremental times: 60ft-0.870 sec., 330ft-2.230, 660ft-3.133/285.77 mph.

Left Lane: Alexis DeJoria Runs 3.876/330.03, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.920/314.51, Was #11
Right Lane: Cruz Pedregon Runs 7.059/86.76, Now #9; Best prior run: 3.881/327.61, Was #8

DeJoria makes a good pass, her quickest of the weekend, and she moves up to the sixth spot. It looked liked she may have lost a cylinder late in the run, the car made a move to the left and she got close to the wall after she crossed the finish line.

Alexis DeJoria's incremental times: 60ft-0.876 sec., 330ft-2.236, 660ft-3.141/287.03 mph.

Pedregon had lost traction about 300 feet out and had to give up on the run.

Right Lane: Chad Green Runs 3.889/327.42, Now #5; Best prior run: 3.861/332.37, Was #5

Alexander gets about 500 feet out, loses traction, then he backs off of the throttle. Green makes another good pass but doesn't improve.

Todd goes down the groove with his quickest pass of the year and he moves up to the fifth spot for now.

J.R. Todd's incremental times: 60ft-0.878 sec., 330ft-2.239, 660ft-3.128/290.98 mph.

Force goes down the groove with a career best ET and he moves up to the second spot for now.

John Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.863 sec., 330ft-2.200, 660ft-3.087/288.70 mph.

Hight goes down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend and he moves up to the third spot. hagan makes a good pass but drops a spot as hight goes around him.

Robert Hight's incremental times: 60ft-0.862 sec., 330ft-2.213, 660ft-3.100/289.65 mph.

Matt Hagan's incremental times: 60ft-0.861 sec., 330ft-2.223, 660ft-3.116/288.79 mph.

Right Lane: Bob Tasca III Runs 3.847/338.57, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.822/335.55, Was #1

Capps goes down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend and he moves up a spot to fourth. Tasca makes another good run but doesn't improve.

Ron Capps' incremental times: 60ft-0.866 sec., 330ft-2.213, 660ft-3.111/288.78 mph.

Bob Tasca III's incremental times: 60ft-0.874 sec., 330ft-2.227, 660ft-3.124/289.43 mph.

Tasca takes the number one qualifying spot for the 7th time this year and the 16th time in his career.
