4:28 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 92 degrees, relative humidity 15 percent, barometer 28.52 inches, adjusted altitude 3,882 feet, track temperature 117 degrees.

LE Tonglet is on the bump spot at 7.169.

Right Lane: Katie Sullivan Runs 7.308/186.15, Now #22; Best prior run: 8.656/112.20, Was #22

Both bikes run a lot better this time, but only Whitaker improves. He gets in on the bump spot.

Right Lane: Wesley Wells Runs 10.174/82.97, Now #22; Best prior run: 7.304/181.74, Was #21

Savoie was reported to have broken a transmission earlier. He makes up for that with a much better pass into the top half of the field.

Wells slows before mid-track.

Jerry Savoie's incremental times: 60ft-1.074 sec., 330ft-2.910, 660ft-4.479/154.90 mph, 1,000ft-5.863.

Right Lane: Freddie Camarena Runs 7.232/186.85, Now #19; Best prior run: 7.281/185.69, Was #20

A little better pass for Camarena, but no where enough to get into the top twelve.

Right Lane: LE Tonglet Runs 7.081/188.31, Now #9; Best prior run: 7.169/187.23, Was #15

Right Lane: Jim Underdahl Runs 7.118/189.71, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.156/188.91, Was #14

Right Lane: Justin Finley Runs 7.083/190.81, Now #10; Best prior run: 7.119/188.60, Was #13

Finley is the last bike that can bump into today's field and he does so with vigor, all the way up to the number ten spot.

That pushes a slowing Gann down to the bump spot.

Left Lane: Matt Smith Runs 6.994/189.71, Now #4; Best prior run: 7.030/190.19, Was #5
Right Lane: Karen Stoffer Runs 7.018/191.97, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.108/188.70, Was #11

Right Lane: Angie Smith Runs 7.055/190.24, Now #8; Best prior run: 7.078/188.54, Was #9

Clean passes a pair. Hines losses a little and Smith picks up a little and one spot on the ladder.

Andrew Hines' incremental times: 60ft-1.096 sec., 330ft-2.929, 660ft-4.486/156.55 mph, 1,000ft-5.852.
Angie Smith's incremental times: 60ft-1.103 sec., 330ft-2.931, 660ft-4.499/155.76 mph, 1,000ft-5.872.

Left Lane: Hector Arana Runs 7.036/192.30, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.991/191.70, Was #3
Right Lane: Michael Phillips Runs 7.073/193.10, Now #9; Best prior run: 7.068/192.49, Was #9

No joy here, as both bikes slow from their earlier times.

Both bike's red lit too, with Phillips getting a -0.246 to Arana's -0.009.

Hector Arana's incremental times: 60ft-1.107 sec., 330ft-2.957, 660ft-4.507/157.59 mph, 1,000ft-5.868.
Michael Phillips' incremental times: 60ft-1.128 sec., 330ft-2.978, 660ft-4.544/156.34 mph, 1,000ft-5.906.

Right Lane: Hector Arana Jr Runs 6.959/195.31, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.974/192.69, Was #1

As expected, we save the best for last!

Two great looking passes and they swap places on the ladder, as the V-Rod is away first and stays there to take over the top spot until tomorrow.

Eddie Krawiec's incremental times: 60ft-1.065 sec., 330ft-2.886, 660ft-4.428/158.43 mph, 1,000ft-5.777.
Hector Arana Jr's incremental times: 60ft-1.099 sec., 330ft-2.917, 660ft-4.457/158.61 mph, 1,000ft-5.805.
