Samsel is a no show, so Kosky just idles it down the track for the win.

Severance with a near perfect light and the power to hold on for the hole shot win. Joey Severance's MOV: 0.0599 seconds (approximately 24 feet). Finke with a season best in the losing effort.

Bourke with a slight starting line advantage, but Reichert has the difference made up by the time they go by the Christmas tree. Reichert with the quickest pass of the round, so far...He will have lane choice over Severance in the semifinal. Bourke uses up an engine as there is the report of oil on the top end in the right lane.

Booher with the starting line advantage, but shields has him chased down by 500 feet and then runs the quickest pass of the round. Duane Shields' incremental times: 60ft-0.915 sec., 330ft-2.394, 660ft-3.499/228.11 mph, 1,000ft-4.436. Shields will have lane choice over Kosky in the semifinal.
