ENNIS, Texas - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock at the 13th annual NHRA Revell Nationals:

12:09 PM, and the first doorslammers of the day roll to the starting line. Martino gets over against the centerline early in the run, then tiptoes his way to the finishline for the win.

Thomas gets loose and clicks it early, handing the win to the Ford.

With the exception of a little bobble right off the line, that was a picture-perfect run for the SplitFire/Peak Pontiac.

These two were dead even all the way to halftrack, where that Johnson horsepower pulls KJ ahead to win by 0.033 seconds, about 9 feet.

Coughlin got really out of shape on the top end, and there is some discussion as to whether he crossed the centerline or not. Looks like the win is going to stand...

Whatever WJ was using to get those reaction times at Topeka, he apparently left it in the box today. The margin here was 0.041 seconds, about 12 feet at the stripe.

Johnson has shown time and again that if he can get into eliminations, he is capable of winning races, and that's exactly what happened here, the Dodge taking a holeshot win over the Summit machine and earning lane choice over Patrick.
