The track temperature is 62 degrees. Paton with the bye and he launches hard and then skates on through the quarter-mile.

Moats using up all of his lane here in the single as Chesterman apparently not making the call.

Both cars get real lose on the launch, they both pedal it and when Gasparrelli gets back on the throttle he heads toward the wall. He makes a valiant effort to keep it off the wall, but he does not and tags it. This gives Engels the automatic win. He will lose lane choice to Paton in the semi-finals.

Austin with the straightest pass of the session, as they say it looked like he was on a string and he will have lane choice over Moats in the next round.
