TOPEKA, Kan. - Once again the rain showers have stopped, around 4 PM drying procedures began. The Safety Safari have pulled out all stops utilizing every piece of equipment at their disposal even using a helicopter to get this track dry and the race under way.

It is 5:20 PM and the plan is for Top Fuel to start at 5:30 PM. The sun has broke through the clouds and it is a welcomed sight. NHRA has stated they will do everything possible to complete this race today. The main obstacle to accomplishing this task will be the track getting to cold to race on safely.

So, again come back soon and often, hopefully for race results.
