12:45 PM Howard launches into big time tire shake and is able to drive through it, Russell has little tire shake, but keeps his foot in it for his quickest pass of the weekend. Howard puts some fluid out on the track around 1000 feet.

Santos has tire shake at the 100-foot mark, but drive though it. Kinser gets out shape around half-track.

Dakin does his job on the christmas tree, but Gunderson runs him down by half-track.

McCosh goes in quickly and this must of threw of Buff's concentration, as he is way late on the tree. McCosh bangs the blower around 150 feet down track with a little puff of flame. Buff gets a break here. He will give up lane choice to Santos in the semi-final, and Russell will have lane choice over Gunderson.
