Beal Racing will celebrate the completion of their new NHRA nitro funny
car with a hometown appearance at the Cajon Classic Cruise Funny Car
Frenzy night on Main St. in El Cajon, CA, on Wednesday, Aug 12th, 5-8pm.
Chuck Beal, owner of Beal racing, will use the event to debut a new
Victory Race Cars funny car with which he plans to compete at select NHRA
Full Throttle Drag Racing Series events in the coming months. The team
will fire the race car's engine to give spectators an up-close feel of the
8,000 horsepower nitro powerplant.
"We are proud members of the greater San Diego community, and I thought it
would be a great idea to celebrate the completion of our latest race car
with a bunch of car nuts like us at the Cajon Classic Cruise," said Beal.
Beal Racing's appearance marks the first public event for the team in over
2 years. When NHRA rule changes rendered their past race car obsolete,
the independent team had to take time to build a new car that Beal was
confident would be competitive right away.
"I am as die-hard a racer as any out there, and I won't bring a car to a
race track that can't win the race. That said, as an independent race
team we do it for the love on the budget we can afford, which means we
take a little longer than others to adjust to new safety rules," said
Beal.
The team plans to use the new car to acquire new driver Brandon Welch's
competition license. Once Welch is licensed, the team will debut in
competition.
Beal added, "Come help us celebrate the new Beal Racing at the Cajon
Classic Cruise. It's a great chance smell some nitro in Southern
California while the NHRA Full Throttle Series is halfway across the
country."
