Mother Nature Forces Postponement Again in Southeast Division

CECIL, Ga. -- Due to persistent rains in the area, the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing = Series event which was scheduled to take place this weekend at South = Georgia Motorsports Park has been postponed. The event will now take = place Aug. 5-6.=20

=20 The rescheduled event will feature time trials and qualifying on Friday = and eliminations on Saturday. As an added bonus for the Southern Georgia = fans, the weekend will feature a Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series double = header, with the Gainesville Raceway Lucas Oil Series event, which has = been postponed twice, completing their final eliminations here on = Sunday, August 7.=20

=E2=80=9CIt seems like Mother Nature just doesn=E2=80=99t want to leave = us alone this year. Sadly, this is our third rainout in a row, but = fortunately for the fans we=E2=80=99ll be back in August to put on a = good show,=E2=80=9D said Southeast Division Director, Bill Holt.=20
