5:42 PM This is Capps seventh final round appearance this year and he has yet to win one. His last win came 46 races ago at Heartland Park Topeka, Oct. 17, 1998. Bazemore has been in three final rounds and his last win was at the 2000 Mopar Parts Mile-High Nationals in Denver. Capps gets the early lead but Bazemore catches by the sixty foot mark. Bazemore bangs another blower at about the 330' cone and the engine goes silent. Capps goes on for his 9th career win (8 in Funny Car, 1 in Top Fuel).
