ENNIS, Texas - 9:30 AM - Here we go again. Stock Eliminator round 3 ran on schedule at 8:30 AM and race officials hoped to get a sizeable chunk of the day's activities in the books before promised late afternoon rain interrupted the racing. So much for hoping. Several pairs into the second round of Super Gas, the second eliminator out of the blocks, the light mist that kept popping up yesterday popped up again and we are in the "It's stopped, run the jets," "It's raining again, shut 'em down." mode once more. Looks like we'll be in this mode until the real rain arrives later today. As painful as it is to sit and watch this, think of how the Safety Safari crew feels, the on again, off again light mist just enough to wipe out a lot of hard work each time it starts up again.
About all we can promise is that when they manage to run the cars, we'll post the
results as soon as possible afterward. When you stop seeing updates, it's probably
because we're waiting out the weather once again. Or taking a nap.
