DALLAS-2 - Pro Stock Truck Qualifying Notes, Session #1

ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock Truck at the 15th annual O'Reilly Fall Nationals presented by Castrol Syntec listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Jody Schmeisser Runs 7.682/174.50, Now #1
Right Lane: Bob Yonke Runs 7.822/174.01, Now #2

10:41 AM Well, what can we say about the weather - it's cloudy, but dry for the moment anyway. The active word is "hurry", Buster Couch has been on the radio asking everyone to make these rounds go as quickly as possible.
Yonke's truck is new, he ran in Topeka for the first time just a couple of weeks ago.
After the burnouts were completed over the radio comes - "We've got sprinkles at the top end." The cut-throat sign is given, and we're down for yet another delay. Sigh. 10:45 AM
11:54 AM The shower was brief, and even the sun came out for a minute to help things along. The clouds over the tower don't look good at all - this may be a brief window, but we'll run through the field as quick as possible here.
Good wheels up launch for Schmeisser.
And the rains resumed before the next pair could run.
