12:42 PM Thompson banged the blower as soon as he stepped on the throttle for the burnout, so Federlin got a freebie. He made an easy, clean pass to advance to the semifinals.

Shelly made a good lap, but Ormsby was sharp on the tree and made another run in the forties to win easily.

No contest here, Hentges away first and running away to win easily, but he loses lane choice to Ormsby next round.

Good drag race, as you'd expect from these two, Buff with a very good light and Meyer with enough to drive by on the top end to win by a margin of victory = 0.025 seconds (approximately 9 feet). Meyer will have lane choice against Federlin in the semifinals.
