What better finish to the year than to have the #1 and #2 Top Fuel drivers meet in the final round of the final event. This may be a preview of the 2001 season as well. Tony Schumacher has not been able to defeat Scelzi in a final round yet. And the streak continues. This was Scelzi's ninth final round win of the season, a record, in his eleventh appearance. Also he sets the all time record for number of round wins in a season. The race was side by side and the headers flames on Big Red were a very strange orange color. Congratulations to both crews for a fantastic season.
