6:39 PM Some of what we thought was tire smoke from Federlin was engine smoke and Duane Shields' team loaned him some engine parts, including heads, so Federlin could answer the call for the final round. It's a classic nitro versus blower final round, though most expected Shields to be the blown car in the finals. On borrowed parts, Federlin sawed the tree down and then Bernstein went up in smoke, making all that hard work look easy. It was a popular win, Federlin one of the long-time contenders in Division 6, running on a limited budget.
