5:33 PM This is Capps 18th final round appearance and fifth in 2000. He has four runner-up finishes already this season. This is Sarver's first final round appearance in Funny Car. He had two final round appearances in Top Fuel with an 0-2 record. Capps gets the jump but Sarver makes up the difference before he gets to half-track. This is his first ever win in NHRA competition. Margin of victory = 0.049 seconds (approximately 21 feet).
