GRAND BEND, Ont. -- Grand Bend Motorplex, home of the inaugural IHRA Mopar Performance Parts Canadian Nationals has announced Castrol Canada has signed on to become the presenting sponsor of the inaugural race, June 2-4, 2000.

The Mopar Performance Parts Canadian Nationals, presented by Castrol, marks Canada’s return to national event drag racing competition.

“Castrol Canada is the company that has always stood by drag racing in Canada. Castrol has never let their support of drag racing, and racing in general, stop just outside our borders like so many other companies,” stated Grand Bend Track Manager, Ron Biekx. “I’m thrilled that Castrol Canada has stepped up to be an important part of the largest drag racing event Canada has seen in the last decade. They truly deserve to be at the forefront of our return to the international stage.”

The Mopar Performance Parts Canadian Nationals, presented by Castrol is the third stop on the 2000 IHRA World Championship Drag Racing schedule.
