6:04 PM Johns nailed Panella to the tree and then had enough performance to win by a margin of victory = 0.020 seconds (approximately 5 feet) in a close race. Panella will have to make do with the 1999 Winston championship. Congratulations to Johns, whose driving talents don't seem to have suffered from his hiatus.
