Harris either breaks before the burnout or won't start, either way the
crew towed him away while Engles drives right down the race track. OK, now I
see the starting line crew cleaning up some oil in the water box, that's the
answer.

Foster lost more than the race, here, his dragster getting crossed up on
the top end and crashing. He was over close to the wall at 1200', and when
he tried to move back into the center of the lane the rear end broke loose
and came around, then he was sideways and did a 360 degree spin then started
rolling over, twice or three times before it finally slid to a stop over
against the left wall. The Safety Safari was right there and Foster climbed
out of the car quickly, with no apparent injuries. The South Dakota driver
will earn a trip to the hospital for a checkout, but the early indications
are that the safety equipment did its job and he's OK. The car did a lot of
spinning and sliding, but there was never a truly hard impact and likely made
the difference.

There's a big yellow ball in the sky for the first time today... maybe
that's what caused Harrington to coast thru at only 83mph.

The #1 and #2 cars in Division 5 meet up here in round one, and Sallee
takes a 0.011 second (about 3') win.

Yet another dragster falls to tire smoke, as the Stout's RV machine gets
the holeshot only to watch it evaporate as his tires spun, hard.
