Right Lane: Hurley Blakeney Runs 10.238/88.38, Now #29; Best prior run: 7.082/195.68, Was #29

Hurley was banging on the shifter after the burnout, unable to get it into reverse. He was pushed back by hand for the run. But the car didn't respond properly on the launch and he shut it off at 330 feet.

Right Lane: Tony Gillig Runs 7.038/196.73, Now #22; Best prior run: 7.050/195.53, Was #24

Gillig makes his best run of the weekend, but is still way short of the field.

Right Lane: Bruce Allen Runs 7.039/195.22, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.003/195.51, Was #14

Left Lane: V. Gaines Runs 7.053/196.24, Now #21; Best prior run: 7.037/195.99, Was #21
Right Lane: Ron Krisher Runs 7.006/197.08, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.013/197.05, Was #15

Krisher is one of the few to improve this round, but not enough to move up the ladder and away from a first-round match with Kurt Johnson.

Left Lane: Tom Martino Runs 7.475/184.80, Now #18; Best prior run: 7.024/196.67, Was #18
Right Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 12.143/71.43, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.988/197.80, Was #6

Problems in both lanes, Jeg shaking in second gear and Martino's car sounding wounded from the start.

Left Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 11.025/81.78, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.934/198.79, Was #2
Right Lane: George Marnell Runs 7.017/196.62, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.979/196.85, Was #4

Right Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 7.082/195.73, Now #21; Best prior run: 7.034/196.07, Was #20

Both cars turn in their best runs of the weekend, but both come up short, Pawuk losing 16th position to Patrick by virtue of Patrick's higher speed.

Left Lane: John Nobile Runs 7.019/197.08, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.995/197.51, Was #10
Right Lane: Larry Nance Runs 13.528/63.07, Now #25; Best prior run: 7.045/196.33, Was #25

Nance shut it off at the 2-3 gear change.

Left Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 7.004/197.97, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.995/197.65, Was #9
Right Lane: Troy Coughlin Runs 7.051/197.80, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.982/197.54, Was #5

No improvement, but Johnson's run is impressive given the amount almost everyone else has fallen off the pace this round.

Left Lane: Ray Franks Runs 7.205/192.14, Now #34; Best prior run: 7.144/193.63, Was #34

Franks' car drifts right and fishtails its way down the track, ending his hopes of making the field.

4:05 PM and that's it, the Pro Stock field is set, with WJ number one and Robert Patrick number sixteen.
