ENNIS, Texas - Results of round 2 eliminations in Federal-Mogul Dragster at the 13th annual NHRA Revell Nationals:

Hynes launches into severe tire shake and when the tires quit shaking, it picks up the front end and at that time he lifts and coast on through the quarter-mile. Santos with his quickest pass of the weekend and a great reaction time shows us why he is headed toward another World Championship.

Gay launches hard and then has a quick pedal about 150 feet off the starting line. Nicholson falls off his earlier pace, but holds on to win. He will give up lane choice in the semis to Santos.

Russell skates around, but keeps his foot in it, and drives it on into the semis.

Bowen chatters the tires, but it did not matter as Henkelman continues to just rip off those mid 5.40s. Henkelman will get lane choice against Russell in the semis.
