ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 41st annual Texas NHRA FallNationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Clay Millican Runs 3.716/332.45, Now #7; Best prior run: 5.929/103.95, Was #18

Weather conditions: air temperature 58 degrees, relative humidity 60 percent, barometer 30.41 inches, adjusted altitude 262 feet.

Millican was skating around, but stayed with it to get in the show. He goes all the way up to the number seven spot.

Right Lane: Spencer Massey Runs 10.009/81.50, Now #19; Best prior run: 6.986/86.97, Was #19

Massey lost traction early and clicked it off.

Loftin was up in smoke right at the hit.

Sanders is moving around on the top end, it appeared to start eating itself up. Sanders stayed with it to get in the show.

Reed broke on the burnout and is pushed back.

Mercier kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to make another good pass. He will stay in the number 13 spot.

Torrence starts to lose traction around half track and clicked it off.
