MADISON, Ill. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Funny Car at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 15th annual NAPA Auto Parts NHRA Midwest Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Dale Creasy Jr. Runs 11.870/80.25, Now #2
Right Lane: Jack Wyatt Runs 7.299/94.35, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 71 degrees, relative humidity 59 percent, barometer 30.14 inches, adjusted altitude 1,486 feet, track temperature 97 degrees.

Creasy is up in smoke right at the hit and clicked it off.

Bode has a cylinder out right at the hit, he pedals it. It drops some more cylinders and he clicks it off.

Alexander with a good pass early, but the car makes a quick move toward the centerline. He gets off the throttle and does a good job driving keeping it in his lane until past the finish line.
