LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 1 time trials in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, Pacific Division, event at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Shawn Cowie Runs 5.649/185.05, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 77 degrees, relative humidity 25 percent, barometer 29.93 inches, adjusted altitude 3,802 feet.

Cowie shook and something came flying off the car, he clicked it off early.

Left Lane: Randy Eakins No Time, Now #3
Right Lane: Shaunda Blinzler Runs 5.331/271.57, Now #1

Eakins broke on the burnout and is pushed off the starting line.

Blinzler kept it hooked up and was straight down the groove.

Left Lane: Jackie Fricke Runs 5.246/278.17, Now #1
Right Lane: Braiden Chesleigh Runs 7.379/118.33, Now #4

Fricke launched hard and kept it hooked up with the quickest pass of the day. Jackie Fricke's incremental times: 60ft-0.947 sec., 330ft-2.430, 660ft-3.519/230.06 mph, 1,000ft-4.445.

Chesleigh started to mix up cylinders early and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Mitch Myers Runs 6.070/186.41, Now #4
Right Lane: Taylor Januik Runs 9.079/90.28, Now #6

Myers has a hole or two out early, but stays with it.

Januik shook and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Rich McPhillips Jr. Runs 5.298/270.43, Now #2

McPhillips kept it hooked up and was straight down the groove with the second quickest pass of the session. Rich McPhillips Jr.'s incremental times: 60ft-0.938 sec., 330ft-2.419, 660ft-3.530/224.88 mph, 1,000ft-4.477.
