POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 59th annual In-N-Out NHRA Finals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Gary Prichett Runs 3.750/329.91, Now #1
Right Lane: Scott Palmer Runs 3.818/294.88, Now #2

Weather conditions: air temperature 57 degrees, relative humidity 54 percent, barometer 29.83 inches, adjusted altitude 1,483 feet.

Pritchett with his first pass in a Top Fuel car in competition. He is driving the Salinas team car. He launched hard and kept it hooked up to make a great pass. Gary Pritchett's incremental times: 60ft-0.849 sec., 330ft-2.143, 660ft-3.020/291.76 mph.

Palmer is straight down the groove with his quickest pass of the season. Scott Palmer's incremental times: 60ft-0.847 sec., 330ft-2.157, 660ft-3.047/283.43 mph.

Right Lane: Krista Baldwin Runs 3.916/249.81, Now #3

Baldwin started to drop cylinders and it pushed her out of the groove before she clicked it off.

Left Lane: Ida Zetterstrom Runs 3.738/323.89, Now #1
Right Lane: Jasmine Salinas Runs 6.311/102.55, Now #5

Zetterstrom kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to make her career quickest pass to go to the number one spot. Ida Zetterstrom's incremental times: 60ft-0.842 sec., 330ft-2.135, 660ft-3.006/292.58 mph.

Salinas has a cylinder or two out right at the hit, the car then starts mix up the cylinders and she clicked it off.

Right Lane: Billy Torrence Runs 3.724/329.34, Now #1

Hart is straight down the groove with a good clean pass.

Torrence kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to go to the number one spot. Billy Torrence's incremental times: 60ft-0.840 sec., 330ft-2.129, 660ft-2.995/294.18 mph.

Right Lane: Shawn Reed Runs 3.712/320.36, Now #1

Stewart starts to lose traction and clicked it off.

Reed kept it hitting on all eight and hooked up and goes to the number one spot. Shawn Reed's incremental times: 60ft-0.831 sec., 330ft-2.101, 660ft-2.965/289.94 mph.
