LAS VEGAS - Results of round 2 eliminations in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 24th annual Ford Performance NHRA Nationals:

This is the first time Payne and Januik have faced each other in eliminations.
Januik gets the advantage off of the line and starts pulling away. Payne makes up a little ground in the middle of the run but runs out of racetrack. Januik goes on through with a career best to take his second career round win in this class.

Severance and Nataas have each won 5 times against the other in prior events.
Severance gets the advantage off of the line, stays in front past the 330 foot mark, then has problems and the loses power. Nataas drives around him and pulls away for the win.

Demke is 2 - 0 against Cummings in prior events.
Demke gets out of the gate first and extends his lead to the 330 foot mark. Cummings starts making up ground but wasn't able to make up the difference at the line.
Demke gets the holeshot win, the 239th round win of his career which puts him third place all time in Top Alcohol Dragster round wins.

This is the first time Wolf and Cowie have faced each other in eliminations.
Wolf with the advantage off of the line but Cowie reels him in before they reach the 60 foot mark. Cowie extends his lead to the 330 foot mark, then Wolf starts making up ground. Cowie holds off wolf and takes the stripe for the win.
Shawn Cowie's incremental margins: 60ft(0.018), 330 ft(0.078), 660ft(0.068), 1,000ft(0.052). MOV: 0.0574 seconds (approximately 22 feet).
