LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Modified at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 24th annual Ford Performance NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Brandon Snider Runs 6.068/210.77, Now #2
Right Lane: Mike Janis Runs 5.752/246.53, Now #1
Weather conditions: air temperature 66 degrees, relative humidity 22 percent, barometer 29.95 inches, adjusted altitude 2,931 feet.
Snider making his first appearance on tour since Charlotte 2, 2022. He clicks it off early.
Janis is straight down the groove. He makes his quickest pass of the season. Mike Janis' incremental times: 60ft-0.949 sec., 330ft-2.533, 660ft-3.781/198.76 mph, 1,000ft-4.845.

Gray clicks it off early.
Shelton was straight down the groove.
Left Lane: Mike Castellana Runs 5.794/249.90, Now #2
Right Lane: Dmitry Samorukov Runs 6.658/173.27, Now #9
Castellana launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number two spot. Mike Castellana's incremental times: 60ft-0.962 sec., 330ft-2.571, 660ft-3.819/196.47 mph, 1,000ft-4.891.
Samorukov made a quick move toward the wall, but he reeled it in.
Left Lane: Billy Banaka Runs 5.787/245.72, Now #2
Right Lane: Kevin Rivenbark No Time, Now #12
Rivenbark went silent on the burnout and is pushed off the starting line.
Banaka kept it hooked up all the way down the track.
Left Lane: Kris Thorne Runs 5.788/247.25, Now #3
Right Lane: Mason Wright Runs 5.902/243.11, Now #8
Throne is straight down the groove to the number three spot. Kris Thorne's incremental times: 60ft-0.951 sec., 330ft-2.565, 660ft-3.818/197.62 mph, 1,000ft-4.880.

Quartuccio kept it hooked up all the way down the track.
