ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 39th annual Texas NHRA FallNationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Right Lane: Derrick Reese Runs 12.877/81.22, Now #19; Best prior run: 6.607/208.85, Was #19
12:50 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 88 degrees, relative humidity 41 percent, barometer 30.06 inches, adjusted altitude 2,852 feet.
Reese loses traction at the hit and backs off of the throttle.
Right Lane: Deric Kramer Runs 16.008/53.86, Now #17; Best prior run: 6.586/208.59, Was #17
Kramer has traction problems off of the line and is off of the throttle quickly.
Left Lane: Kenny Delco Runs 6.592/208.51, Now #18; Best prior run: 6.588/209.65, Was #18
Right Lane: Mason McGaha Runs 6.606/209.97, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.570/209.90, Was #13
Delco makes a decent pass but he doesn't improve. McGaha slows from his previous attempts and stays in the 13th spot.
Left Lane: Cristian Cuadra Runs 6.623/208.47, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.573/207.84, Was #15
Right Lane: Cory Reed Runs 6.577/209.88, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.564/210.08, Was #11
Cuadra makes a clean pass but doesn't improve. Same story for Reed, no improvement. We probably won't see much improvement today with the conditions.
Left Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 6.600/209.59, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.573/209.10, Was #14
Right Lane: Jerry Tucker Runs 6.580/210.00, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.558/210.64, Was #9
McGaha and tTucker make decent passes but no improvement for either driver.
Left Lane: Troy Coughlin Jr. Runs 6.632/209.84, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.566/211.09, Was #12
Right Lane: Fernando Cuadra Jr. Runs 6.599/209.64, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.557/208.61, Was #8
Another pair, same story. two decent passes but no improvement.
Left Lane: Camrie Caruso Runs 8.248/116.67, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.558/209.69, Was #10
Right Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 6.596/208.99, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.555/209.08, Was #7
Caruso has problems and is off of the throttle early. Hartford makes a decent pass but doesn't improve.
Left Lane: Aaron Stanfield Runs 6.571/209.55, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.533/209.78, Was #4
Right Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.588/209.13, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.554/210.24, Was #6
Stanfield makes the quickest run of the round so far but he doesn't improve. Coughlin makes a decent pass for the conditions.
Left Lane: David Cuadra Runs 6.584/209.57, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.532/208.60, Was #3
Right Lane: Dallas Glenn Runs 6.555/210.54, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.535/210.05, Was #5
Glenn makes an impressive run for the conditions, the quickest of the round so far. Cuadra slows from his previous attempts.
Left Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.563/209.99, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.524/208.99, Was #1
Right Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.572/209.69, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.526/209.09, Was #2
The final pair and no driver improved this round.
