ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 39th annual Texas NHRA FallNationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Not on File No Time, Now #2
Right Lane: Kebin Kinsley Runs 4.668/167.60, Now #1
Weather conditions: air temperature 88 degrees, relative humidity 29 percent, barometer 30.04 inches, adjusted altitude 2,737 feet.
Kinsley making his first appearance on the tour for the first time since this race last season.
He clicks it off early.
Left Lane: Spencer Hyde Runs 3.918/317.48, Now #2
Right Lane: Scott Palmer Runs 3.901/306.79, Now #1
Hyde is making his second career Top Fuel appearance on the tour. Hyde is straight down the groove with a good pass.
Palmer is making his first appearance on tour since Topeka 2023. Palmer kept it hooked up and makes a good clean pass.
Left Lane: Cameron Ferre Runs 5.910/120.47, Now #5
Right Lane: Krista Baldwin Runs 3.788/322.35, Now #1
Ferre with severe tire shake right at the hit and clicks it off.
Baldwin is making her first stop on the NHRA tour since Pomona earlier this season. Baldwin launched hard and kept it hooked up to make a great pass. Krista Baldwin's incremental times: 60ft-0.846 sec., 330ft-2.151, 660ft-3.039/285.33 mph.
Left Lane: Ida Zetterstrom Runs 3.808/324.77, Now #3
Right Lane: Jasmine Salinas Runs 3.788/327.84, Now #1
This is a good looking side-by-side drag race.
Zetterstrom kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to go to the number three spot. Ida Zetterstrom's incremental times: 60ft-0.849 sec., 330ft-2.170, 660ft-3.064/286.37 mph.
Salinas launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Jasmine Salinas' incremental times: 60ft-0.855 sec., 330ft-2.161, 660ft-3.050/287.23 mph.
Left Lane: Josh Hart Runs 3.776/327.99, Now #1
Right Lane: Shawn Reed Runs 3.784/327.27, Now #2
a couple more good looking passes.
Hart kept it hitting on all eight to go to the number one spot. Josh Hart's incremental times: 60ft-0.848 sec., 330ft-2.148, 660ft-3.037/287.45 mph.
Reed was straight down the groove to the number two spot. Shawn Reed's incremental times: 60ft-0.849 sec., 330ft-2.156, 660ft-3.044/287.80 mph.

Right Lane: Tony Stewart Runs 7.609/84.26, Now #11
Torrence with a good clean pass.
Stewart was up in smoke right at the hit and clicked it off.

Right Lane: Clay Millican Runs 3.752/323.74, Now #1
Force was up in smoke and clicked it off.
Millican launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Clay Millican's incremental times: 60ft-0.847 sec., 330ft-2.136, 660ft-3.015/289.58 mph.
Left Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 3.762/324.93, Now #2
Right Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 4.577/163.76, Now #12

Torrence starts to lose traction and clicks it off.

Kalitta drives into tire smoke and clicks it off.
Langdon launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Shawn Langdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.836 sec., 330ft-2.123, 660ft-2.997/292.68 mph.

Right Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.793/320.19, Now #9
Ashley is straight groove to kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight. Justin Ashley's incremental times: 60ft-0.846 sec., 330ft-2.156, 660ft-3.037/288.83 mph.
Brown makes a quick move toward the centerline on the top end. He goes to the number nine spot.
